What is it that gets us up the morning?

The challenge of the next project. And no matter how many times you do a job, there’s always that notion of how to make it different, how to make it better. What keeps us up in the morning is the continuous flow of caffeine. So what is it we do during these hours of awakening? Branding

Image links_branding… is not just a logo. A logo is a key element of a brand but there is a much bigger picture to be painted – not that we actually use paint very often. Every part of the branding must support the company’s ethos, character, beliefs, values and mission. Colours, imagery, typography, tone of voice all have to work in harmony and work on everything from a business card to global advertising campaign. Tom, have you seen that tin of red emulsion anywhere?

 

Copywriting & Headlining

Image links_copywritingThe pen is mightier than the sword so they say (though I wouldn’t try it in a fencing contest – foiled again!). But words are powerful… they can intrigue, inspire, explain and extol. get the perfect chemistry of words and pictures and you got a strong campaign, but you know, sometimes words work just perfectly on their own when portrayed with the right use of typography and sensitivity to the message. Full stop.

 

Illustration

Image links_illustration“Good day in the studio?” “Yes thank you, I’ve been colouring in!” Illustration is a vital communication tool and adds a real uniqueness and character to a piece of work. Simple black and white sketches through to full computer generated pseudo-reality and everything in between. And they can be used in print or perhaps animated for presentations, exhibitions and online. Now, where did I put that green magic marker?

But a beautifully lit image or well crafted movie sequence will pull in the crowds, stop people in their tracks and stir them into finding out more!  Ok Joe, roll ‘em!
